The MC220L is a multimedia converter designed to convert 1000BASE-SX/LX/LH fiber to 1000Base-T cable or vice versa.
Designed to IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX/LH, the MC220L is used with multimode/singlemode optical fiber using the SC connector.
The MC220L supports shortwave (SX) laser at full wire speed transfer rate.
It works at 850nm both in data transfer and reception with multimode fiber and at 1310nm in both data transfer and reception with single-mode fiber.
Other features of this module are the possibility of use as a stand-alone device (no rack required) or with TP-LINK´s 19” system rack, Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port and status LEDs on the panel frontal.
The MC220L transmits using multimode optical fiber, increasing the fiber distance up to 0.55 kilometers and 10 kilometers with single-mode fiber.
